North Alabama Medical Center, opened its doors in 2018, as the replacement facility for Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, in Florence, Alabama. North Alabama Medical Center serves as a regional facility with more than 200 physicians on staff who represent more than 42 specialty areas of medicine.

How you’ll contribute

A Medical Assistant (MA) who excels in this role

Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.

Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.

Documents patient care given.

Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.

Maintains examination areas.

Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

  • What we’re looking for Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • High School diploma
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months clinical experience.
  • CCMA, CMA or RMA Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 6 months of clinical experience. BLS certification is required within 60 days of hire, and CCMA, CMA, or RMA certifications are preferred.
