Provide routine and emergency obstetrical and gynecological care Perform gynecological examinations and procedures Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for expectant mothers Educate patients on health care, pregnancy, and preventive practices Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Document patient findings and treatment plans accurately Stay current with updated medical guidelines and practices Participate in continuous professional development and education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Medical license to practice in Lafayette Experience in an Ob/Gyn clinical setting (preferred) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Willingness to participate in continuing education and training
Schedule: Monday-Friday with weekend rotations
L&D Schedule: 4x5 24-hour call shifts per month
Annual Volume: 1,600 deliveries
Duties: Provide labor and delivery, operating room, and general OB/GYN coverage
Team Structure: 7 OB/GYNs, 5 midwives, and 4 WHNPs
Must have experience using DaVinci
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
