About the role

The Residential Aide is responsible for monitoring clients, conducting property rounds, and ensuring the daily program schedule is followed. Key duties include assisting with intakes, documenting medication administration, and communicating client behavioral issues to staff.

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team!

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Hours

  • Part time
  • Monday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • Saturday - 7:00am - 3:00pm

Responsibilities

include: Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift. Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property. Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed. Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc. Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications. Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled. Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors. Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues. Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner. Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled. Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments. Ability to deescalate. Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff. Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Qualifications

include: Ability to observe, identify, document, & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern. Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery. Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus. Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Pay

$17.00/hr.

Requirements

Candidates should have an understanding of addiction, mental health, and recovery, with prior behavioral health experience being a plus. The role requires the ability to identify behavioral changes and a willingness to learn ASAM criteria and 12-step recovery models.
