Overview Physical Therapy Assistant (LTAC) travel assignment in Dimmitt, TX, starting 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks.

Weekly pay ranges from $1,617 to $1,700 per week with set hours and a 36-hour workweek.

Shift includes Mon–Thu 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Fri 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

The setting is a skilled nursing facility with outpatient and swing bed rehab, focusing mainly on ortho while also supporting stroke rehab and pediatric sports medicine.

This is a travel temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide PTA-level care under supervision to patients in outpatient ortho rehab, swing bed, and related settings.
  • Implement and progress treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, ROM, strength, balance, and gait training.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, activity tolerance, and safety education to patients and families.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of treatments and outcomes in patient records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy Assistant experience
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedics, stroke rehab, and pediatric sports medicine is a plus
  • Ability to work the specified Mon–Fri schedule in a LTAC/outpatient swing bed environment
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Capable of maintaining professional standards in a skilled nursing facility setting
