Responsibilities

  • Serve as the OR Circulator for general surgery and OB-GYN procedures; may assist with orthopedic cases as needed
  • Maintain sterile technique, manage intraoperative counts, and ensure proper instrument handling and room turnover
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare the OR, position patients safely, and assist anesthesia as required
  • Handle specimen labeling and transport, ensure accurate documentation of intraoperative events
  • Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, uphold patient safety and comfort, and communicate any concerns to the team
  • Respond to OR staffing needs during on-call periods and support continuous workflow

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (unrestricted)
  • OR Circulator experience or demonstrated ability to work in an operating room setting
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) or equivalent current certification
  • Ability to work 13-week travel assignment with a Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule and on-call availability
  • Eligible for travel assignments and able to meet assignment-specific requirements
