About the role

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performs complex examinations within the radiology and MRI divisions. They are responsible for setting up equipment, administering contrast materials, and providing preliminary diagnostic evaluations to physicians.

Overview This position is located at Naval Medical Center, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist you will: Performs a variety of difficult examinations within Diagnostic Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging division. Set up and adjust accessory equipment and make exposures necessary for the requested procedure. Advise radiologist or referring physician of results of examination and provide them with a preliminary diagnostic evaluation. Prepare and administer contrast material. Follow all required Magnetic Resonance Imaging safety protocols.

Qualifications

US Citizenship required This position requires the employee to possess and maintain American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification. Public Law 97-35 requires that persons who administer radiologic procedures meet the credentialing standards of 42 CFR Part 75. They must (l) have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and (2) be certified as radiographers in their field.

Requirements

Candidates must be US citizens and possess a valid American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification. They must also have completed an accredited educational program that meets federal credentialing standards.
