About the role

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat individuals recovering from neurological injuries while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. They are responsible for developing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and training staff on mobility interventions.

Physical therapist (On-Call): Neuro rehabilitation

The On-Call Physical Therapist provides skilled physical therapy services to individuals in Hope Network's Neuro Rehabilitation program. In this flexible role, you'll evaluate, treat, and educate individuals recovering from neurological injuries and conditions while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve mobility, function, and quality of life. While this is an on-call position, consistent scheduling opportunities are anticipated during an upcoming maternity leave coverage.

  • What you'll do
  • Evaluate individuals and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
  • Provide hands-on therapy to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, and functional independence
  • Design and monitor home exercise programs and mobility interventions
  • Train direct care staff on safe transfers, gait techniques, and therapy recommendations
  • Collaborate with PTAs, rehabilitation staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Complete timely documentation, progress notes, and treatment reports
  • Participate in care planning, discharge planning, family education, and team meetings
  • Monitor therapy equipment and recommend adaptive equipment or mobility devices as needed

What you bring

Preferred

• Two or more years of experience working with adults with neurological disabilities or traumatic brain injuries (TBI)

Required

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Physical Therapist license
  • Membership with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)

Requirements

Candidates must hold a degree in Physical Therapy and possess a current license. At least two years of experience working with adults with neurological disabilities or traumatic brain injuries is preferred.
