Overview: Under the direction of a radiologist, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.
General
Responsibilities: Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures. Follow the principles and guidelines as set forth by the American College of Radiology. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school education or equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Acute care experience preferred, although new graduates will be considered.
Preferably registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
