Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Endoscopy Technician to join our team. This role supports the clinical team by preparing procedure rooms, maintaining and reprocessing endoscopy equipment, assisting with patient care activities, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for endoscopic procedures.
  • Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain endoscopes, instruments, and related equipment.
  • Assist with patient care activities under the direction of a licensed nurse, including patient identification and specimen handling.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment and maintain required documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment by cleaning procedure rooms, handling biohazardous materials appropriately, and following PPE and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory, unpack and restock supplies, and assist with coordinating supply needs.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and equipment handling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
