About the role

The Behavioral Health Clinician coordinates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality care for patients in crisis, inpatient, and transition programs. They are responsible for completing behavioral health assessments, developing service plans, documenting services, and managing patient discharges.

CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

Behavioral Health Clinician Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona.

CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

CBI is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models.

Job Summary The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in CBI Crisis, Inpatient and Transition Point programs.

The Behavioral Health Clinician coordinates with the Patient Care Technicians (PCT), Registered Nurses (RN), and Behavioral Health Medical Providers (BHMP) to ensure a safe environment and that quality care is provided to all presenting for services.

The Behavioral Health Clinician completes the behavioral health assessment and service plan for all individuals admitted to their assigned program.

The BHC documents provided services and coordinates discharges from CBI programs.

The BHC coordinates care with the family or other significant others.

Skills/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Behavioral Health.

Master’s Degree is preferred but not required.

Preference given to Master’s Degree in field related to behavioral health and/or has been licensed at the associate level with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Psychologist, Social worker, Counselor, Marriage and family therapist or Substance Abuse Counselor.

1-3 years of full-time Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Behavioral Health, with a Master’s degree preferred. 1-3 years of full-time healthcare experience providing exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred.
