About the role

The Medical Office Scribe performs real-time documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record to enhance provider efficiency. This role supports clinicians by managing documentation workflows to ensure accuracy, compliance, and improved patient care.

The Medical Office Scribe is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and productivity of providers by performing real-time documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR). This role enables clinicians to focus on direct patient care by managing the documentation workflow, contributing to a better patient experience, reduced provider burnout, and improved clinical efficiency.

This position directly supports Augusta Health’s mission to improve the health and well-being of our community by ensuring that documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant, ultimately aiding in the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Education, Licensure/Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or equivalent certification preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of experience as a medical scribe or in a similar clinical documentation support role
