How you’ll contribute

An Assessment Lead who excels in this role

Facilitates response to a request for services, including the initial response, the assessment, and referral process, the designation of the appropriate level of care, admission into services, and appropriate follow up activity.

Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination.

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.

Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA.

  • What we’re looking for Applicants should have a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or equivalent and a current clinical or social work license in the state of OH. RN licensure may be used in place of master’s degree. Additional requirements include:
  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients preferred
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills
  • With proper credentials, supervisory may be required to complete vitals check on patients
  • CPR and de-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, or an RN license, along with a current clinical license in Ohio. Strong clinical assessment skills and experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility are required, with CPR and de-escalation certifications needed within 30 days of hire.
