About the role

Plans and provides direct professional nursing care for pediatric patients in the emergency department. Collaborates with families and the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and patient education.

Under general supervision, plans and provides direct professional nursing care for specified patients throughout the entire episode of service delivery as defined by population and unit. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the standards of practice of a professional nurse, Connecticut Children's policies & procedures, TJC, and state & federal regulations. Reports to Nurse Manager.

Requirements

Requires an Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) and a current Connecticut Registered Nurse license. Candidates must possess or obtain BLS, PALS, and Crisis Intervention training certifications.
