The Dialysis team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville provides patient-centered care to individuals requiring dialysis and treatment for acute and chronic medical conditions. This role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who is committed to providing safe, high-quality care, educating patients and families, and advocating for patients throughout their treatment journey. Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities: Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel Coordinate care provided by ancillary services to support safe and effective patient outcomes Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing individualized plans of care Educate patients and families regarding their disease process, treatment, and plan of care Serve as a patient advocate and promote patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction Provide care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, chronic, and other acute conditions Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care Registered Nurse (RN) Experience: Dialysis nursing experience (preferred) Experience caring for patients with chronic medical conditions (preferred) Hospital or acute care nursing experience (preferred) Registered Nurse (RN) Education & Credential Requirements: Associate of Science in Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred) Licensed Registered Nurse (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (required) Why Baptist Health? Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED. Primary Location: Downtown - Main Building
Candidates must hold an Associate of Science in Nursing and a valid Registered Nurse license, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Previous experience in dialysis or acute care nursing is preferred.
