Responsibilities

  • Independently manage technical aspects of implanted cardiac rhythm management devices (pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, implanted loop recorders)
  • Interrogate device function, perform tests, troubleshoot issues, and document results
  • Prepare and support outpatient clinic visits and device follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with cardiology physicians and device clinic staff; provide patient education on device function, monitoring, and care
  • Apply appropriate infection control and safety practices; ensure patient safety throughout procedures and device management

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification
  • Pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent job experience
  • Knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology
  • EPIC experience within the last 2 years
  • Ability to work in an outpatient cardiac device clinic setting with adult patients (18+)
  • Reliable transportation required; public transit is limited in the area
