The role supports inpatient rehabilitation and acute care units within a hospital-type setting. Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients on inpatient rehab or acute care units, under supervision as appropriate
  • Implement, monitor, and adjust treatment plans to meet patient goals and clinical priorities
  • Conduct and participate in co-treatments with PTAs in acute care when applicable
  • Document patient progress, maintain timely notes, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in rounds and care planning with therapists, physicians, and other care providers
  • Support a patient caseload approaching an average of 12 patients per day, depending on unit needs and patient acuity

Requirements

  • Active Oklahoma COTA licensure
  • NBCOT certification
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Graduation from an accredited OTA program
  • Skills Checklist current within 1 year; two Supervisory Reference Forms within the last two years
  • Ability to work in an inpatient rehabilitation unit or acute care setting
  • New graduates accepted; recent traveler experience preferred
  • Oklahoma state licensure and eligibility to work in the U.S.
