About the role

The Lab Associate is responsible for performing routine specimen analysis and documenting results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines. They also maintain laboratory standards, prepare reagents, and ensure data accuracy within the clinical research environment.

Job Summary: Responsible for performing routine laboratory testing procedures to generate accurate data for clinical trials research.

This role supports analytical operations by processing specimens, documenting results, maintaining laboratory standards, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

What You'll Be Doing: Perform routine specimen analysis and document results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines Evaluate analytical results using laboratory system algorithms and verify data accuracy Identify unusual results, document findings, and escalate concerns to senior laboratory personnel Prepare buffers, reagents, and laboratory solutions required for testing activities Store samples and reagents appropriately following analysis activities Support laboratory housekeeping activities in alignment with 6S standards Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and notify teams of supply shortages Support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives while participating in ongoing training and development What We Are Looking For: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree may be required at some CAP/CLIA laboratory locations, preferably in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology 6 months relevant lab experience required, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Basic knowledge of laboratory principles and analytical testing processes Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable regulatory agency standards Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology used in a clinical laboratory environment Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree The

Needed for This Role: Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and manage workflow efficiently Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams Strong attention to detail, accurate documentation practices, and commitment to quality standards Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with laboratory information systems Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to safety and compliance requirements Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.

Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree preferred in a scientific field. At least 6 months of relevant laboratory experience is required, along with knowledge of GLP and laboratory safety protocols.
