The Phlebotomist/Processor is responsible for performing venipuncture, collecting specimens, and preparing samples for laboratory testing. They also provide administrative support, maintain accurate data records, and ensure compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations.
Interpath Laboratory is looking for a Phlebotomist/Processor to join our Swing Shift team! Newly certified phlebotomists are encouraged to apply, although previous professional phlebotomy experience is preferred. In this role, you'll perform patient blood draws and assist with specimen pickups, including supporting our partnership with Treasure Valley Hospital. Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening, with a focus on pediatric patients. Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information. Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance activities.
Supporting clinic operations and assisting with coverage as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day workflow.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. While previous professional phlebotomy experience is preferred, newly certified phlebotomists are encouraged to apply.
