Position Summary

To provide high quality integrated behavioral health screenings and brief crisis interventions to clients with identified behavioral health needs,

Key Responsibilities Screen new clients at risk in primary care settings to identify and address their presenting problems.

Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide crisis interventions.

Offer brief interventions to individuals experiencing biopsychosocial stressors.

Deliver direct clinical services, including evaluations and counseling using motivational interviewing.

Review client records and develop comprehensive evaluation reports.

Assist with service coordination and follow-up procedures.

Coordinate consultations and services with community agencies and health service providers.

Collaborate with clients, physicians, and other providers to develop client-centered treatment plans.

Re-assess clients and update treatment plans as necessary.

Work a flexible full-time schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Meet monthly with a clinical supervisor to review client cases.

Document all client encounters in the medical record within three days.

Perform billing activities according to agency procedures.

Stay informed on developments in integrated behavioral techniques and research.

Advise patients on health and illness prevention, including family planning services.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a master's degree from an accredited college or university in the social or behavioral sciences. Must be fully licensed in the state of TX (LCSW LPC or LMFT) and be in good standing with their credentialing board. Must have a minimum of 2 years paid work experience providing assessment, brief intervention and/or psychotherapy. Must be able to manage multiple deadline and decision making responsibilities.
  • Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers' compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested bv Legacv. Requirements

Candidates must hold a master's degree in social or behavioral sciences and possess a current, full license in Texas as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. A minimum of two years of paid work experience in assessment, brief intervention, or psychotherapy is required.
