Position Purpose

  • The EEG Technician I is responsible for performing and monitoring a full range of neurodiagnostic studies, including routine, continuous long-term EEG (cEEG), Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) studies, inpatient/outpatient EEGs, and ambulatory EEG setups. The role requires strong technical skill, critical thinking, and the ability to recognize and respond to clinical and electrographic changes.
  • What you will do: Participates in the administration of clinical tests to patients. Manages individual work flow to ensure the completion of all assignments. Demonstrates effective communication to facilitate the team concept. Assists with the administration of the EEG Lab. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. One to two years of EEG Tech experience is preferred. Current certification as an EEG Technician is preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of EEG equipment and procedures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Work requires the ability to communicate orally. Work requires ability to reach and grasp objects as well as manual dexterity. Work requires the ability to enter words and data into a computer or similar device.
