About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant administers physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed therapist to restore patient function and mobility. They are also responsible for monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring a safe treatment environment.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility.

Essential Functions

Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.

Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.

Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

• Team-oriented and patient-focused with strong communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Education

  • Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
  • Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
  • License: Current PTA license in state of practice.
  • Certifications: CPR certification required.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program and possess a current PTA license in the state of practice. Additionally, CPR certification is required, and previous experience in rehab or acute care settings is preferred.
