About the role

Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg | travel assignment in Hanford, CA | start 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks | $1,878-$2,001 per week | 48 guaranteed hours per week | Shift: 3x12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Short-term acute care hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; develop and revise care plans to achieve expected outcomes
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
  • Educate patients and families; provide health information and participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transition of care
  • Document care and maintain accurate, timely communication across shifts; collaborate with treating team to promote a safe, healing environment

Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • At least two years of recent acute care experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR certification may be required per policy
  • EPIC and Cerner EMR experience preferred for backfill assignments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting and participate in a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM day shift schedule
