The intern will conduct patient interviews, screenings, and provide case management services under the supervision of a licensed counselor. They will also facilitate individual and group therapy sessions and participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Conducts initial interviews with patients and recommends appropriate rehabilitative services Provides case management and discharge planning services Conducts screenings and brief interventions Coordinates care with patient’s medical and treatment team Utilizes community resources for referrals and assistance Counsels’ family members as needed Conducts intakes, orientations, and counseling (within treatment services) Conducts educational classes and group meetings (within treatment services) Conducts various types of individual and group therapies (within treatment services) Participates in weekly supervision for a minimum of 1 hour Other duties as assigned
Knowledge of 245G licensed programs is preferred Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities: Enrollment in educational institution currently progressing toward degree completion in alcohol and drug counseling
