The Emergency Department Technician assists the clinical team by providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and performing diagnostic tests. They also support patients with daily living activities and assist with various nursing assistant responsibilities within the unit.

As an ED Tech, you will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary clinical team within our 36 bed unit.

Your care and treatment of these patients is an integral part of their Patient Experience.

As an Emergency Department Technician, you will be caring for your patients’ emergent issues by assisting them with their daily living, taking vital signs, Accu-Cheks, Phlebotomy, IV insertions, EKG’s, and other nursing assistant responsibilities.

Experience

1. Previous experience in delivery of patient services required. 2. Phlebotomy experience preferred. 3. Intravenous access insertion preferred.

Education

1. Graduation from high school or equivalent required. 2. Some college preferred.

Licensures/Certifications

1. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required. 2. EMT/EMT-P preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid BLS certification. Previous experience in patient services is required, while phlebotomy and IV insertion skills are preferred.
