CMA / Certified Medication Aide, Full-Time, 6am-2pm
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides routine daily nursing care and medication administration for residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative support. This role is carried out in line with established procedures and under the guidance of the supervising nurse.
Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, monitor residents for any side effects, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
Candidates must have completed a Certified Medication Aide program and meet state-required continuing education standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
Completion of a Certified Medication Aide program; must meet state-required continuing education requirements.
Strong knowledge of nursing practices, with clinical competency in medication administration and infection control procedures.
Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
Completion of a minimum of 12 hours of in-service education annually required.
