CMA / Certified Medication Aide, Full-Time, 6am-2pm

About the Role

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides routine daily nursing care and medication administration for residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative support. This role is carried out in line with established procedures and under the guidance of the supervising nurse.

Responsibilities

Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, monitor residents for any side effects, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.

Documentation

Maintain accurate records of medication administration and document any changes in residents' conditions.
Regulatory
Compliance: Follow state regulations and facility policies to ensure medication safety and adherence to proper procedures.
Additional
Responsibilities: Assist with laundry as needed and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
Inventory
Management: Assist in maintaining medication supplies and report shortages or discrepancies as needed.
Resident
Care: Support daily resident care routines, including personal care and housekeeping assistance.
Team
Collaboration: Assist in the orientation and development of new CMAs and CNAs.
Observation and
Reporting: Observe residents' conditions and report relevant information; review care plans daily for any updates.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed a Certified Medication Aide program and meet state-required continuing education standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
