The Registered Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. Weekend Premium Rate: Employees hired or transferred under the provisions of the Weekend Differential Program will affirm, in writing, their consent to abide by the terms of the program by signing this policy and agreement. The terms of the program are outlined in an agreement signed by the employee. Weekend Differential Rate is in addition to my base rate for the shifts that I work on the weekend; no other shift differentials will apply. If I work a shift during the week or pick up any extra shifts, I will receive my base rate and any shift differentials only. Additional
Minimum Training and Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse required. Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) required. Some positions require certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification, and Crisis Prevention training.
