- Overview: 16 bed unit Norfolk General Hospital is the only Sentara Facility that performs Kidney/Pancreas Transplants and complex vascular surgeries. Immediate surgical recovery of Kidney and Pancreas Transplant. General Surgical Patients requiring ICU.Management of patients requiring mechanical ventilation. Management of patients requiring CRRT and hemo-dialysis.Vascular: lower extremity revascularization, Abdominal Aortic Aneurism, Mesenteric Artery Repair, EVAR, TEVAR, Lower extremity bypass, revascularization, Carotid Endarectomy and Carotid Stent, EKOS- treatment for DVTs, Medical management of AAA’s and dissections.General

- Served: Adult medical and surgical patients requiring intensive nursing care. Average length of stay 2-3 days, complex patients may be there >30days. Education Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) ACLS NIH Stroke Scale Experience Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
