What you'll do

As a Youth Counselor, you'll provide supervision, mentoring, guidance, and support to youth in a structured residential treatment program. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll help create a safe, therapeutic environment where youth can grow and succeed.

Your responsibilities include

  • Resident Care & Supervision
  • Supervise residents while maintaining a safe and structured environment.
  • Build trusting relationships through positive role modeling and mentorship.
  • Ensure the safety and security of residents and the facility.
  • Behavioral & Therapeutic Support
  • Supervise youth during school, recreation, appointments, community outings, and daily activities.
  • Support individualized treatment plans and behavioral goals.
  • Encourage positive decision-making and independent living skills.
  • Documentation & Team Collaboration
  • Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and required documentation.
  • Complete incident reports and resident progress notes.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and fellow team members.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings.

📚 qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or two years of college in a social or human services-related field OR
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least two years of experience working with youth

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must successfully pass criminal background (including FBI) and child abuse clearances
  • 🕒 schedule

  • Must be available to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), including weekends
