About the Role

The Treatment Nurse - LVN or RN at GREEN OAKS plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care to residents within a skilled nursing environment.

This position focuses on administering treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are effectively implemented.

The nurse will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

By providing compassionate and skilled nursing interventions, the LVN contributes to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.

This role requires a dedicated professional who can balance clinical expertise with empathetic patient interaction in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or RN license in TX.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, treatment procedures, and medication administration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
  • Additional certifications related to wound care, IV therapy, or geriatric nursing.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications according to established protocols and physician orders.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment logs, medication administration, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, medication management, and health maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, facility policies, and safety standards.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training as required.
