The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic echocardiogram procedures to assist in the treatment of cardiovascular conditions. They are responsible for analyzing high-quality images, documenting findings in the Cerner system, and providing preliminary reports to cardiologists.

Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers Verifies orders entered into Cerner by ordering Physician for the examination. Attains B/P, Height and Weight and billable diagnosis to complete the exam from Cerner. When patient enters room Sonographer will ask patient for date of birth and first and last name and if patient has a Cardiologist and enters all pertinent information in the ultrasound machine. Sonographer will explain the echocardiogram to the patient or patient's family. Perform the Echocardiogram following ICAEL standards and Protocol. Sonographer will send the attained images into the PACs system. Sonographer will then complete a preliminary report for the reading Cardiologist. Job Requirements Required Registered Cardiac Electr or Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography or Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo All within 12 months Preferred High School Graduate General Studies and 1-3 years One (1) year experience as an echocardiography sonographer High School GED General Studies and 1-3 years One (1) year experience as an echocardiography sonographer or higher level degree and completion of an echocardiography program

Requirements

Candidates must hold a relevant cardiac sonography certification such as CCI or RDCS. A minimum of one year of experience in echocardiography is preferred along with completion of an accredited program.
