The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery while managing fetal monitoring and obstetric emergencies. They will also collaborate with the healthcare team and provide education to new mothers regarding infant care and postpartum recovery.
Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and manage the physical and emotional well-being of patients during labor, delivery, and recovery. Fetal Monitoring: Perform and interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and other diagnostic tests to ensure maternal and fetal health. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals during deliveries, including assisting with cesarean sections or emergency procedures. Provide care and education to new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery. Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and epidurals while monitoring for any adverse reactions. Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies, including hemorrhage, fetal distress, or neonatal complications.
