Overview Cardiovascular Technologist — OR CVOR Tech in a travel temporary assignment.

This position is in a hospital setting located in Herrin, Illinois.

Start date is 08/10/2026 with an anticipated duration of 13 weeks.

Guaranteed hours are 36 per week, with a 4x10 rotating shift schedule.

Weekly pay ranges from $2,122 to $2,229.

This role requires specialization in the operating room cardiovascular/ CVOR environment and involves travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in transportation and positioning of patients; help prepare the patient and room for planned procedures
  • Open sterile supplies and set up for procedures; perform skin prep and draping
  • Aid in gowning and gloving of the surgical team; pass instruments and sutures; maintain instrument, suture, and sponge counts
  • Apply dressings and assist in specimen handling as needed
  • Decontaminate instruments and supplies per policy; support efficient turnover of the operating room for the next case

Requirements

  • Licenses and Certification: Non-Certified path — graduate of an OR technician program accredited through ARC/STSA or on-the-job/military training with evidence of training; Certified path — successfully pass the Certified Surgical Technologist exam through NBSTSA or NCCT; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Non-certified route requires 6 months of specialized training or relevant on-the-job/military training
  • Ability to work in an operating room setting and follow strict sterile technique and safety protocols
