Clinical Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: New Hyde Park, NY Days/Hours: 5/8.5 hour shifts, Mon-Fri between 8:00am - 6:00pm Organization: New York Imaging (NYI) Join an intimate, high-end private practice where you aren't just a staff member—you are a clinical partner. Working directly with our Pulmonologist, you will have the time and resources to provide personalized care to a dedicated patient base. This role is ideal for an RT who thrives on continuity of care and wants to escape the "treadmill" of hospital rotations. What You'll Do: Collaborate 1-on-1 with the Pulmonologist to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients with asthma, COPD, and pulmonary fibrosis Manage the practice’s PFT lab, ensuring high-quality data for spirometry, lung volumes, and diffusion studies Act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries regarding their respiratory health, medications, and home equipment Assist in-office with specialized procedures and coordinate with home health vendors for oxygen and PAP therapy setup Manage the scheduling and flow of respiratory-specific appointments to ensure a seamless patient experience Why This Role is Different: Your clinical observations directly influence the physician’s care decisions in real-time No nights, no weekends, and no "on-call" shifts You will see the same patients over months and years, witnessing their progress firsthand Take ownership of the pulmonary lab and respiratory education programs within the practice What We're Looking For: Must have a valid NYS Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license Someone with a warm, professional demeanor who can make patients feel at ease Ability to manage the lab and patient education with minimal supervision Comfortable with EMR documentation and modern diagnostic software
