As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in managing anesthesia care for a diverse patient population, particularly children undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise will contribute directly to the safety and comfort of our patients, and you'll work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on delivering exceptional medical services.
Administer anesthesia to patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed Collaborate with surgeons and medical teams on anesthesia care plans Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patient health and anesthesia risks Provide post-operative care, including pain management and recovery monitoring Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology techniques Educate patients and families regarding anesthesia processes and safety measures
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Current medical license to practice in Lebanon Board certification in Anesthesiology; Pediatric Anesthesiology is preferred Experience in anonsite anesthesiology practice, particularly with pediatric cases Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a medical team Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities Level I Trauma
Schedule: 10-12-hour weekday shifts
Offsite call
Patient Population: Neonatal and up
Diverse case mix, including general surgery, trauma, maxillofacial, neurosurgery, cardiac, etc.
Pediatric Cases: Neonatal, general surgery, craniofacial, ENT, urologic, plastic, orthopedic
Support Staff: MD/DOs, CRNAs and residents
100% supervision
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
