The Behavioral Health Tech provides direct patient care and support for individuals with behavioral health conditions under the direction of nursing staff. Responsibilities include observing and documenting patient behavior, performing rounds, and assisting with activities of daily living in a safe environment.
The ideal candidate will bring specialized training or hands-on experience in direct patient care, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical support and a commitment to compassionate service. Works as part of an interdisciplinary team to support patients with behavioral health conditions including substance use, PTSD, suicidal or homicidal ideation, mental instability, and trauma. Observes and documents patient mood, behavior, and interactions; completes rounds and precautionary checks; reports concerns to nursing staff. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs delegated care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse. Maintains a clean, organized, safe, and well‑stocked patient care environment.
