This downtown Stuart hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County on the beautiful St.

Lucie River.

The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home.

Martin North Hospital's Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides 24/7 care for critically ill patients.

It has a shared governance professional practice model that allows for multidisciplinary team collaboration, working on solutions to best innovate, improve and advance their mission.

As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off.

In this role, you will be a patient advocate and provide expert care in critical situations.

You will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, helping enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed.

Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including advanced clinical training, certifications, educational programs, and more.

You may also float to other Martin locations, creating another avenue through which to develop knowledge within various units.

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM.

Martin North will be the primary work location but floating to Martin South and Tradition Hospitals will be required as needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care.

Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.

Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

Educate patients and their families.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross upon hire or within first year of employment One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Critical care experience Physical Requirements: Full range of body motion for handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination Standing and walking for extended periods of time Corrected vision and hearing to normal range Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Light Work Personal Protective Equipment: Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
