Family Service League is seeking a part-time hourly Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner assesses the mental health status of clients by studying their relevant medical history, performing comprehensive assessments, and identifying risk factors that might affect mental health.
This position diagnoses patients’ mental illness and determines effective plans of care.
This position provides ongoing home visits with clients in the community, including checking vitals and administering medications.
Travel is required.
**$1,000 Sign-On Bonus!**
Nurse Practitioner degree and license, including state licensure and DEA credentials, are required.
A minimum of 3 years of prior prescribing experience is required. Psychiatric prescribing experience is preferred.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required; experience with an EMR is preferred.
Excellent time management, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team in providing treatment to persistent, severe mentally ill population required.
Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License required.
This position requires sitting for long periods of time and travelling to conduct home visits.
