CAPSLO's Adult Day Center is looking for a Substitute Program Aide!
As a Program Aid you will support our Site Supervisor and staff in providing exceptional care and engaging activities for our senior clients.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for those in our care.
For Level I: Has a High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent. For Level II: Has 1-2 years of experience in a social, recreational, or health care program, or 2 years of college education in a related field. For Level III: Is certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Depending on the department assigned, a valid California driver’s license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws. As the Program Aide you will: Plan and implement activities that promote recreation, exercise, socialization, nutrition, and education. Greet and orient clients, ensuring accurate records of their schedules and needs. Assist clients with mobility aids and transfers, ensuring their safety. Prepare and serve meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness per ServSafe protocols. Provide personal care, including medication reminders, toileting, and hygiene. Communicate changes in client status to the Site Supervisor and Program Manager. Maintain a clean and safe facility, adhering to all safety protocols. Foster positive relationships with staff, clients, volunteers, and family caregivers. Open and close the premises as needed. Follow all safety procedures regarding potential exposure to bodily fluids or blood-borne pathogens.
