Stone Ridge Animal Care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative three-doctor small animal practice in Evansville, Indiana. We are known for high-quality medicine, exceptional client service, and a team culture where every person’s contributions matter. Our diverse caseload includes wellness care, urgent care, surgery, and dentistry, giving you opportunities to use and expand your skills every day. You’ll also work with advanced equipment, including digital and dental radiology, ultrasound, a CO2 surgical laser, cautery, an in-house IDEXX laboratory, and red-light laser therapy. Why You'll Love It Here Join a collaborative three-doctor small animal practice Use your technical skills across wellness, urgent care, surgery, and dentistry Work with digital radiology, dental radiology, ultrasound, and advanced surgical equipment Use an in-house IDEXX laboratory to support efficient diagnostic care Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques Work alongside teammates who value communication, efficiency, and mutual support Enjoy flexible scheduling that supports a healthy work-life balance Work no nights, on-call shifts, or holiday hours Get regular lunch breaks built into your day Continue growing through mentorship, continuing education, and professional development Receive support for your credential through state license and VTNE exam fee reimbursement Join a hospital where your questions, ideas, and contributions are welcomed Enjoy occasional coffee runs, ice cream parties, and team meals Use your veterinary skills to make a difference in the Evansville community What You'll Do Triage patients and obtain complete histories, vital signs, and initial assessments Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge Safely handle and restrain patients using Fear Free and low-stress techniques Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples Place IV catheters and administer fluid therapy Perform diagnostic imaging, including digital and dental radiographs Run in-house laboratory testing using IDEXX equipment Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures Assist with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery Support dental procedures and preventive oral healthcare Use therapeutic equipment such as red-light laser therapy when appropriate Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up needs Communicate with clients using compassion, clarity, and confidence Anticipate the needs of veterinarians and teammates to promote an efficient workflow Collaborate across the hospital to support a positive team culture Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical areas Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through on patient-care tasks What You'll Bring An active Registered Veterinary Technician credential Strong patient handling and restraint skills Proficiency in venipuncture and IV catheter placement Experience performing laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing Confidence assisting with surgery, anesthesia, and patient recovery Experience obtaining diagnostic radiographs Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills The ability to educate clients clearly and compassionately The ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment A collaborative, team-first mindset The confidence to jump in wherever support is needed The ability to anticipate the needs of veterinarians and coworkers A commitment to continued learning and professional development A positive, dependable, and proactive approach Empathy for patients, clients, coworkers, and yourself A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and excellent patient care The confidence to take ownership of responsibilities and deliver positive outcomes The Extras You'll Actually Feel At Stone Ridge Animal Care, your credential and experience will be put to meaningful use.
