Position Overview The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) assists licensed nursing staff in performing a variety of duties in caring for the residents in the facility.
The CNA is expected to have knowledge of policies and procedures for providing bedside and out of bed care.
Key Responsibilities Attends beginning of shift report to be aware of the condition of residents on assigned unit.
Make preliminary rounds to assess specific assignment.
Confers with the Charge Nurse for clarity of assignment, as needed.
Keep confidential all knowledge of resident’s problem and/or condition.
Administers care in accordance with policies.
Escorts residents to clinic and physician’s office outside the facility when assigned.
Complete accountability records as per facility policy.
Offer suggestions to the charge nurse that in your opinion will upgrade the quality of care, and participate in overall patient care planning.
Resume NYS RN License (RNs) NYS LPN License (LPNs) NYS CNA Certification (CNAs) High school diploma/college diploma/degree certificate (if applicable) Valid BLS certificate (nurses only) 2 professional reference letters Physical performed within the last year, including: PPD result (within last year) or QuantiFERON Gold result MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B titers report Flu vaccination record COVID-19 vaccination card Valid photo ID (passport / permanent resident card / EAD card / driver's license) Copy of authorized Social Security card Direct deposit form or voided check Pay Range USD $21.00 - USD $24.00 /Hr.
