A Day in the Life Ensure Safety & Professional Conduct: Follow all safety guidelines, use proper body mechanics, report unsafe conditions, maintain a professional appearance, and adhere to radiation safety standards including ALARA, collimation, and patient shielding. Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Care for patients from arrival to departure, communicate respectfully, ensure patient comfort and safety, properly transfer and position patients, and assist in emergencies or first aid when needed. Perform Diagnostic Imaging Procedures: Operate radiology equipment safely, choose proper technical factors, select and load imaging cassettes, produce high-quality radiographs, and assist physicians with contrast media and sterile procedures. Maintain Equipment, Rooms & Records: Keep exam rooms clean and stocked, prevent cross-contamination, handle equipment responsibly, report malfunctions, and complete related clerical tasks including documentation as required. Support Department Operations & Ongoing Learning: Rotate shifts and departments as needed, take on-call duty, assume delegated responsibilities in the absence of leadership, and participate in continuing education and professional development.
What’s Required Must have passed or is eligible for the examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography. Continued employment is provisional based on completion and certification by the ARRT within six months. Registered technologists must be in good standing Previous experience as a Staff Technologist preferred, but not required Previous experience in any Radiology subspecialty desirable, such as Special Procedures, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, CT or Ultrasound Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal

Must be eligible for or have passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination. Requires current BLS certification and the ability to work a variable, as-needed schedule.
