Are you a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity? Join our rehabilitation team and make a lasting difference in the lives of residents and patients by helping them overcome communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.

As a Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that improve communication, cognition, swallowing function, and overall quality of life. Working alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, you'll help patients regain confidence, independence, and dignity every day.

Patient Evaluation & Treatment Screen, assess, and evaluate residents/patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency disorders.

Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, physician directives, and rehabilitation goals.

Provide direct speech therapy services to address communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.

Plan, direct, and conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve functional outcomes and communicative effectiveness.

Administer, score, and interpret specialized speech and hearing assessments.

Create customized treatment tools and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.

Care Planning & Documentation Develop treatment plans with measurable short- and long-term goals.

Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and weekly summaries.

Complete all required forms and records in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations.

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment approaches as needed to maximize outcomes.

Patient & Family Education Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, treatment goals, and strategies for practicing skills outside of therapy sessions.

Communicate speech therapy programs and progress updates to family members and guardians.

Provide guidance and support that encourages patient participation and continued improvement.

Collaboration & Teamwork Work closely with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient-centered care.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.

Licenses/Certification

Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law. Valid CPR certification required.

Experience

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
