The Occupational Therapist will plan, organize, and implement therapy services to help residents achieve their highest level of physical and mental well-being. They will also participate in resident care planning, maintain treatment records, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care, a 192-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Croton-on-Hudson, NY has an opening for an PRN Occupational Therapist.

Sky View serves as the bridge between hospital and home, spanning the gap from recovery to community reentry.

Our luxurious and hotel-like environment is the ideal setting for those in need of Post Acute Rehabilitation or Long-Term Care.

Our team of highly skilled physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapists really care and work together to create an individualized therapy plan that helps residents reach their highest level of functioning in as short an amount of time as possible – preparing for their eventual return home.

Occupational Therapist, OT is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times Occupational Therapist, OT must possess the ability to plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., of the occupational therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental and social well-being.

Occupational Therapist, OT will Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.

Occupational Therapist, OT will participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as required.

Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents

Requirements

Must possess a current license and registration to practice as a Occupational Therapist, OT in the State of NY. Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as a Occupational Therapist, OT Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about quality care Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills Trusted to work independently & in a team environment Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, celebrate diversity, & are committed to creating an inclusive work environment for all!
