A Brief Overview Our Surgical NICU is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our highly specialized, unique, multidisciplinary team.

We are the first children’s hospital in the country to have a dedicated neonatal surgical team.

Below are some details of what this role would entail.

Work with a team devoted to the care of neonates with primary surgical diagnoses Provide comprehensive care from birth to discharge, including intraoperative care and ECMO, in a fast-paced, rigorous environment Level IV NICU with 100 beds caring for over 1,100 surgical neonates annually Attend deliveries in the world’s first birth facility in a pediatric hospital specifically designed for healthy mothers carrying babies with known birth defects Participate in/lead innovative research, quality improvement and other scholarly projects Check out these informative videos highlighting what makes our team special: Twice Born Documentary Trailer Recreating the Womb The ideal candidate will have: At least 1 year of experience practicing as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required For new graduate APPs: complete CHOP's APP Clinical Immersion Program - https://careers.chop.edu/us/en/app-clinical-immersion-program For any questions, please reach out to Jim Kerwin - kerwinj@chop.edu What you will do Assesses the complex acute, critical and chronically ill patient for urgent and emergent conditions.

Uses relevant data to evaluate for physiologic instability.

Utilizes the data to formulate a plan of care.

Performs therapeutic interventions to stabilize acute and critical health problems.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies or a Master's degree in Nursing, along with relevant state licensure and certifications. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and proficiency with electronic medical records.
