How you’ll contribute
Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems.
Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
Verifies medication orders for accuracy/completeness prior to entry; checks filled medications prepared by technicians; maintains proficiency with pharmacy automated systems and software.
Manages patients in an outpatient anticoagulation clinic, including point-of-care testing, result evaluation, dosing, and scheduling.
Participates in performance improvement and required continuing education.
