Lab Processing Tech II - Phlebotomist

The Laboratory Processing Technician II is responsible for the performance of EKGs, collection of specimens within the employee’s scope of training including legal specimen collection, and preparation of all specimen types.

Includes specimen accessioning, centrifuging, aliquoting and packing for courier pickup.

Assists with patient registration, laboratory report distribution and other clerical duties.

Mans and troubleshoots the pre-analytical automation as assigned.

Provides training and/or orientation for internal employees and external customers.

Promotes and maintains a professional manner in all situations.
