The Surgical Technician is responsible for maintaining a sterile field and assisting surgeons and the surgical team during procedures. They also manage operating room equipment, handle specimens, and support the circulating nurse.
The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include
setting up and maintaining a sterile field, assists surgeon as necessary, assists circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintains familiarity, function and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments. The Surgical Technician initiates responsibility for care of specimens and performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Coursework/Training - graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program.
National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Surgical Tech Program and hold a National Certified Surgical Technologist credential. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required upon hire.
