Nevada Pediatric Specialists·Las Vegas, Nevada
Nurse Practitioner · $115,000 - $165,000/yr
Computed from live listings
Shaded band: the middle 50% of posted advanced practice roles in Las Vegas, Nevada salarys. This role sits in the 27th percentile.
Pay for this role is about 9% below the Las Vegas, Nevada median for advanced practice roles.
The nurse practitioner will manage their own patient panels and provide high-quality outpatient pediatric care in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, managing chronic conditions, participating in shared call rotations, and working Saturday shifts at the Henderson location.
Nevada Pediatric Specialists is hiring a full-time pediatric nurse practitioner — CPNP-PC or FNP-C with at least two years of outpatient pediatric experience — for our Las Vegas and Henderson offices. We have been locally owned and pediatrician-owned since 2008. We are not a hospital division, not a private-equity roll-up, and not a revolving-door urgent care.
Why advanced practice clinicians stay here
You are a clinician here, not overflow capacity: our nurse practitioners carry their own panels and their own continuity relationships. You are not the catch-all for whatever the physician schedule could not absorb.
Call is shared, and nurses carry most of it: parent call is rotated equitably among our nurse practitioners and physician assistant. Our pediatric RNs handle parent calls until 5 p.m. on weekdays. From 5 to 10 p.m. on non-holiday weekdays, the clinician on call takes parent calls directly. After 10 p.m. on weekdays, and throughout weekends and holidays, a pediatric RN is on call with you, taking and triaging parent calls before they reach you. No newborn nursery call — our pediatricians carry that at two tertiary care hospitals with Level III NICUs.
Physician collaboration down the hall: Nevada grants APRNs full practice authority, and with two years of experience you practice at the top of your license. When you want a curbside, six board-certified pediatricians are in the building, not on a callback list.
Genuinely collaborative: 11 clinicians — 6 board-certified pediatricians, 4 board-certified nurse practitioners, and 1 certified physician assistant — who curbside each other daily and run two sites as one group.
Built for efficiency: eClinicalWorks with mature pediatric templates and integrated AI-assisted documentation, in-house lab, telemedicine, same-day and walk-in access, online scheduling, and a 24-hour pediatric nurse advice line for established patients.
Current and evidence-based: full AAP-aligned immunization standards (we do not accept alternate-schedule or non-vaccinating families), universal electronic behavioral health screening, integrated behavioral health with REACH-trained providers, ADHD and asthma management, and obesity and weight-management programming.
Saturday clinic is part of this role, and it is staffed and paid for: we are opening Saturday hours at our Henderson office, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and this position carries them, with regular front desk and medical assistant support on site. In exchange you take either a pay differential for the Saturday shift or a full weekday off. Four hours on Saturday for an entire weekday back is a trade most clinicians take once and never want to give back, and we would rather tell you now than in a second interview.
Real growth: quality improvement, behavioral health integration, practice-level initiatives, and NP student precepting. 4.88 stars across more than 855 family reviews.
