About the role

The Radiologic Technologist assists physicians by capturing high-quality medical images and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures. Responsibilities include positioning patients, operating imaging equipment, and applying knowledge of anatomy to facilitate accurate diagnoses.

Description *Safety Sensitive Job FULL-TIME 11AM TO 11PM (3-12 HOUR SHIFTS Mon., Tues., Thurs.) We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist III to join our Diagnostic Imaging team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced imaging professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

The Radiologic Technologist III performs x-rays and CT procedures, producing high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury.

Working collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the Radiologic Technologist III is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care while maintaining the highest standards of image quality, radiation safety, and professionalism.

This position is classified as Safety Sensitive and requires strict adherence to all patient safety, radiation safety, infection prevention, and organizational policies and procedures.

This person must possess the ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional while caring for patients of all ages and conditions.

They must be able to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail while also having strong, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform x-ray and CT examinations in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and established standards of practice while practicing radiation safety by following ALARA principles and taking all appropriate measures to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self. · Prepare, identify, educate, and position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort, privacy, dignity, and safety while also being able to demonstrate a knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and imaging principles to support an accurate diagnosis. · Explain imaging procedures, answer patient questions, and provide reassurance to promote a positive patient experience. Be able to collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care. · Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently, selecting appropriate technical factors to obtain optimal image quality in order to evaluate images for diagnostic quality and perform repeat imaging only when clinically necessary. · Maintain and monitor imaging equipment, perform routine quality assurance procedures, and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. · Accurately document patient information, procedures, contrast administration (when applicable), and technical data in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. · Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, competency assessments, and performance improvement activities. · Maintain flexibility to assist with departmental workflow, including weekends, holidays, and other scheduling needs as assigned. Requirements

· Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. · Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). · Current Arkansas Radiologic Technology License. · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. · Demonstrated knowledge and competency in CT and X-ray procedures. · Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
