LabCorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team at the Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, WA Work Schedule: Three week rotational schedule, working every three weekends 6:00AM-2:30PM Week 1: Mon, Thu, Fri Week 2: Mon, Fri, Sat Week 3: Sun, Tue, Thu Job Responsibilities: Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria Function as a generalist across hospital laboratory departments Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary Assist with processing of specimens when needed Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology ASCP or AMT certification

Preferred Qualifications

1 year or more of recent Blood Bank experience Additional Job Standards: High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask Ability to work independently and within a team environment Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Comfortable working under minimal supervision Pay Range: $37.00-$46.21 All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology and hold an ASCP or AMT certification. At least one year of recent Blood Bank experience is preferred.
